As for the ignorant ppl making statement like "he aint even from alabama' well neither was Lynyrd Skynyrd (correct spelling) ...they were all from florida..they named their band after the teacher that kicked them out of school.."Sweet Home Alabama" was written as an answer to two songs, "Southern Man" and "Alabama" by Neil Young, which dealt with themes of racism and slavery in the South. @RDADAMS68 I agree. Who fuckin cares where Kid Rock is from? He is one of a less of musicians who does great southern music as a northern guy. Just listen his last album. Great stuff. Kid rock rocks.
