  • Sorry, can't comment. Don't know those pickups.

  • 3:35 plz tell me name of this song ;)

  • @g3nro

they're just riffs i came up with for the demo, Not songs.

    Cheers.

  • What is a coil tap? Is it something that comes with these pickups?

  • A coil tap is spliting a humbucker to work as a single coil pickup. You only need to install a push/pull tone pot to get this option with some of the Seymour duncan pickups as there is 4 wires that come from the pickups. Some pickups only come with 2 wires, if this is the case you can't split the coils. Go to the Seymour Duncan website and check out wiring diamgrams and you will see what i mean.

  • great demo mate, which way did you do the coil split, are the single coils on the the inner pickup or the outer ones, I have just fitted the same set using the inner pickup for single coil, cheers.

  • to be quite honest, i'm not too sure which one is split. I just wired it and it sounded good. If i were to do it again i would choose. Bridge Pickup, the one closest to the neck. Neck Pickup, the one closest to the bridge. I think that would be the best way to split them. May be do a bit of reasearch and see what others have to say. Cheers.

  • Do you think these sound better then Gibson les paul studio pickups (490r/498t) for like rock and hevyer stuff plese help

  • try to make shure u have an even space between each note when u are doing your runs itl make them sound much better !

  • Are there any other pickups you wiuld concider better that the SH-4?

  • @g3nro It's basically 'Purple Haze' by Jimi Hendrix. But not as quick.

  • @g3nro it reminds me of Hendrix's Purple Haze E7#9, G, A7

  • @GuitarLordChels this is a great pickup for that. i know a lot of metal guitarists use jazz pick ups like dave mustaine

  • this is a nice vid, but your mostly playing jazzy sounding tunes, and i know the one pickup is a jazz one, but i wanna know if this is good for rock soloing and rock sounds.

  • Purple Haaaze

  • Dude the Coil Tapping sounded so sweet.
