Has anyone here seen 'The Great Gatsby' with Mia Farrow and Robert Redford? In the movie a lady plays 'The Sheik of Araby' on the phonograph but the version is by far the best out of all the versions, problem is I dont know who did that version, all I can say is that it's mostly done by a very eerie trombone soloist, it's stunning.

I suppose something went wrong. My comment was about Sheek of Araby, and I've the impression yours is a comment on Doing The Raccoon?

I agree this probably the best version!
Another great rendition of "The Sheik." This is certainly just as good as, if not better than, the Victor rendition by the Club Royal Orchestra, which was probably the best-selling version of the song.
It is interesting to note that the "Sheik" is the lowest number Cameo record, No. 200, recorded in January 1922 by Bob Haring's Velvetone Orchestra.
