House Leaders say "NO" to the San Joaquin Valley

This legislation is not about creating jobs. If jobs were the priority of Democrats, the Speaker would have listened to my pleas for help in California.

I asked for Democrat leaders to include a provision in this bill that would not have cost one penny. All it would have done is brought water to my district saving 60,000 jobs in the San Joaquin Valley.

Folks may ask, Why didnt the Democrats put this in?

It is because their radical friends in the environmental community have decided that two inch minnows are more important than people living and working in the San Joaquin Valley.

That is offensive because working in the fields has put me through college! 3 generations and I have done it all, sucker, prune, pick, roll, name it, and I have done it. These people are hard working and I have worked shoulder by shoulder with them. That is a racist comment made. It's funny that the Democrats have been the party of the farmers since Thomas Jefferson's push for an Agrarian society. The closest the Democrats came to being the party of the farmers was William Jennings Bryan and the Agrarian unrest of the 1870s. Even the South voted Democrat for a little less than 200 years, being a chiefly Agrarian society. They would have never voted for the party of Lincoln anyways, but that's not the point. The Democratic party has abandoned farmers. Amazing.
