After having this lens for 4+ months, I want to report some issues I have had with this lens. Also the repair experience I have had with Sigma.

  • OMG, you were too patient man !! I got my Canon t3i and i was looking to buy this lens. Good to see this video..! Hopefully you had no issues after this..!!

  • @bangcupid007 It's still working but I am finding I am using less and less. Two reason, it's heavy, and it requires lots of lights to work well indoor. Outdoor is good.

  • i heard from my friend, that sigma is stand for "Significant Malfunction"...LoL

after watched this, i think my friend is right...sorry, no offense...

  • @bangubudiadi LOL, No offense taken!

  • will it work on the d90?

  • @w00lfy Did you experience "lens creep" issues with this lens?

  • I planning to buy one, what do you recommend?

  • I also own this lens. Very satisfied ,images sharp enough, OS working fine ! I recommend this one.

  • @DaMatta11 Thx alote for your help and i'll be looking on the new 18-250.

    Thanks agian

  • @MrFearfulAngel Every brand you chose could have problems, this is an old lens, try considering the new Sigma 18-250mm lens instead, it is my advice.

  • @dial2fast Thx alote for your reply i will be reconsidering buying this as i do alote of outdoor/ landscape photography.

  • @MrFearfulAngel The Sigma lens is still working fine. The picture quality is still very good. However, I am finding myself using less of it. The main reason being this type of lens (or even other similar type) is a slower lens at the telephoto range (F6.3) which means it needs more light to focus and have proper exposure. If you do a lot of outdoor pictures during the day, then it's no problem. I do a lot of pictures of my kids at indoor events where I can't use a flash.

  • Dear Sir,

I was considering buying this lens for my d3100 but i became hesitant after seeing your video. I just wanted to know if you are still experiencing problems with this lens or does it work fine. I am a begginer photographer and i've been saving to buy this lens and dont feel like losing my money in 1 or 2 month time.

    Please advise

Thanks and waiting for your response
