In this video, part 2 of my Blender 2.6 series, I explain and demo how to customize Blender's UI, and how to save your window layouts and saved preferences. I also fix the 'numpad problem' so that the Number Row acts as keyboard shortcuts for the 3D View window.

  • I agree with Rcodes10, you really go straight to the point, you are clear, give useful points...you have natural teaching abilities, I hate watching tutorials and having to hear a long pointless intros to get to the point in the last 30 seconds. congrats man!

  • @doddeddo Thanks so much for your heart-warming comment - it's not often people take the time to do that in this world. =) .. and, I'm actually a newly certified teacher in IT. ;-)

  • How come when i make 4 different types of worlds like what u did in 2:33 when i move one of them they all move? did i do something wrong? please help and thank you great vid btw

  • @Unbentbird When you split your view up - you are always seeing the same world, just from different angles.

  • how do you center the object?

  • @hirosese press shift+c to center your cursor (which also zooms your view), then select your object, press shift+s > selection to cursor. That will put your selected object to the 3d cursor, which should be in the center after you press shift+c.
