    I tend to agree with that assessment. My views have changed a little since I typed that.

  • My Dad is also a Union member and I am proud to say that. Unions are a good thing, but like any organization they have there problems.

  • I agree with everything he said.

  • I'm a union member, and I'm glad I am. I agree with Sen. Thompson that joining an employee union at the workplace should not be a condition for employment. However, if a person chooses not to join the union, they should be paid company set wages and receive company set benefits, rather than contract benefits and wages the company agreed to.

  • Unions are inherently political. Furthermore, they should be a force for good.
