My Dad is also a Union member and I am proud to say that. Unions are a good thing, but like any organization they have there problems.

I'm a union member, and I'm glad I am. I agree with Sen. Thompson that joining an employee union at the workplace should not be a condition for employment. However, if a person chooses not to join the union, they should be paid company set wages and receive company set benefits, rather than contract benefits and wages the company agreed to.

Unions are inherently political. Furthermore, they should be a force for good.
