I just took my baby to The Whispers concert last week in Anaheim, CA and let me tell you...they are still as SMOOTH as EVER! They had us holding each other close one minute and moving and grooving the next!! The comment below mine from truth1disciple...Yes The Whispers did release a gospel album, but to say these "wise" brothers have "mellowed out" and "devoted themselves to glorifying the Lord" is misleading. They're still rockin' da house and singing those ballads like only The Whispers can!

Luv is there a cut on the anthology called "lady in red"????? I think this was one of there early early songs about the same time they made "planets of life" Check it out it went something like this "Lady in red is keeping me in bed with something I never had befor.... A new kind of feeling I'm sure not healing.  (and the hook goes something like) I'll be much older then but will you still be the same...... I sure wish I could find this record. The last time I heard it was in 73 or 74

Oh my does this bring back memories! This was my stepdad's favorite song. My mom was a widow at 23! met my stepdad ( i call him dad) and he used to sing this song in the early stages of dating her as he was getting to know my brother and me. i was 5 and my brother was 6.....thanks in part to him, i had great memories of my childhood in spite of missing my real dad very much. Thanks for posting!
