I was here, just driving out the airport with my Finnish girl friend and her mum. In front of us was this huge explosion and fire ball like nothing I have seen. It was like a giant muscle slowly flexing because the explosion effect had a kind of a detailed fleshly appearence. Debris landed on the road where we were driving on the dual carriage way about a mile from the main terminal.

@superfragisexy ok maybe it was more like 200-250 yards but it did shake an awful lot , it takes me about a minute to walk to the crash sight. We still find debrit now!!

conno123a....i take it ur nan aint got a house no more.....my brother worked there when this happened, it was foggy and the instruments failed, on the plane,giving incorrect altitude......apparently the explosion shook stansteds main building, so christ knows what happened to ur nans house.

i work for essex police and i have seen unedited video footage of this incident. One part from the police helicopter at night and other part was the morning after of the crash scene. The plane was completely obliterated. It was later found that the plane was consructed from carcagenic materials. Cause of the crash was an incorrect instrument reading the crew spotted the error but the pilot overruled them sealing their fate. Two more people died from a crash on a road neaby the scene.

I live in Stansted village and when this incident happened my house shook. I Quickly phoned one of my friends and said I think a plane had crashed and I was right. I wonder if they ever found the depleted uranium used to weigh the tail section of the plane down?

The explosion shook the windows of my house over 4 miles away.
