Cataclysm Roguelike - part 1 - Janice Whatanot

Ok, so I hope you like this first play - it went WAY worse than I would like to but hey, it was fun. Let me know if you like it, I am thinking of making more :) I just love this game.

@ImplosionNL yeah you can get bolts in Harware store but I prefer handguns with silencer. They are awesome. Had a Desert Eagle with silencer - priceless.

I haven't played in a long while i just know that i could get 2-3 hits in before it could counter Usually killing it and having less than 3 encurmbent everywhere helped fighting melee alot.

The other thing i liked was idk if its still possible but making a crossbow and bolts,

so you have a versatile char thats ready for everything

But i gtg il talk more about the strat later

@ImplosionNL Also how good is that spear? I searched and there is iron and wooden. Got statistics?

@ImplosionNL I tend to use different strategy - roaming around from town to town, carrying enough ammo to kill two or three hordes (usualy having a handgun and a shotgun), discovering new places, sleeping in houses i break in too, searching for survivors :) Seems like two good strategies ;)

i always tried to use handguns and such but after a while i just wanted to be a survivalist making my own stuff for the most etc.

So one of my builds was having a safe house dropping all non essential stuff walking with a spear or a decent melee weapon,making molotovs and basically surviving for as long as possible.

I survived 55 days

I used a spade to dig holes around my safe house etc

I died after a molotov exploded in my safe house,running away from zeds into a bee hive

@ImplosionNL I never used spear. Is it actually that good? Never saw anyone use it like a prefered melee weapon?

funny you not making your heavy stick a spear and having a decent weapon lol

And then killing 1 zomb with a bazombillion rocks to spawn another gatrillion
