Slideshow made for John's funeral. Song: "Good Horses to Ride" Trent Willmon. Many of these photos in the second half are taken during his remarkable 5.5 year battle with NSCLC. John worked as a rancher and cattlemen throughout the entire time he had cancer. He was an inspiration to all who knew him; family, friends, doctors & nurses. Hopefully his incredibly long run with NSCLC will continue to inspire more research and studies proving that your life can be much longer and richer than a typical prognosis.

That was a beautiful dedication you made to him. My close friend for twenty years i knew loved this song. He recently passed away and i had to look it up and hear it again and found yours. God bless him and my friend Randy. "Somewhere that spirit, will always live on!" "I heard it said that old cowboys don't die, they get put out to pasture way up in the sky!" So if God's got a heaven for old cowboy legends, i hope the grass is greener on the other side..... & he's got good horses to ride.
