detail stripping, polishing the feed ramp (which rodasj already did) and all other moving parts, say, a touch up with steel wool or a light sanding tip on a dremmel and it will work wonders. my two cents.
btw, nice pistol. keep rockin!

@GsThrowITUp What ammunition are you using?

My grandmother gave me her Jennings she got it from a US Marshall who used it as his back up gun at the time ... so they must be pretty good .. it depends on the model and the type of gun if you keep it maintained they are wonderful .. the only trouble ive ever had with it is its failure to feed thats just because the cheap magazines i was using at the time .. its an awesome little gun

Ey my bullet fits the magazine but doesnt fit the barrel ...any retrogradations?

I bought one of those at Cabelas for like 20 bucks like 4 yrs ago. Really really bad shape. End result it usually won't jam until I put like 200ish rounds through it believe it or not.

thats your problem full metal jackets only on this gun for the first time
-
thats bull. it will maybe shoot some excess gun oil at you but no firing pin.

Nice little zinc alloy gun. I like it.

where can i get the takedown button for a
j22lr
I have one of these and I was about to shoot it until someone told me they can explode in your hand and the firing pin shoots back right into your eye.

I never had that problem. Plus you're always supposed to wear eye protection. I forgot my glasses that day.

I have a J-22 I bought like 6-7 years ago and it jams damn near every magazine I run through it. Lots of double feeds and brass getting caught in the ejection port. What kind of ammo do you use? Have you done anything to make yours reliable, or did I just get one of the shitty ones?

Well I polished the feed ramp and I bought new magazines. That helped a lot. You might want to get a new ejector. That could be your problem. I use regular 550 round 22lr value pack from Walmart.

I found one of these in pieces at a gravel pit I shoot at yesterday. Didn't know anything about em, but it cost $33 for a magazine, 2 springs and the takedown button so even if it doesn't shoot like yours does every time, at $33 I can't complain!
