WE CAN END HUNGER

A little child from hunger dies across the world from me,

So far away, but yet I hear his cries of misery.

A picture's worth a thousand words, and here I see his face,

a little brother in my family called the human race.

This peaceful angel shows his face to the world community

so we can no more turn away, so we can finally see.

Hunger hurts. It hurts us all. But we can find reprieve

In learning that it feels so great to give and to receive.
