This is a video taken at AFRL Tyndall, AFB during the demonstration of the Automated Aircraft Ground Refueling System. The AAGR was developed by Stratom to demonstrate a proof-of-concept system for the automated refueling of fighter aircraft for the Air Force.

  • @kalanike hi kalanike. No , i meant the movements of geared servo robots are rigid in nature. a robot powerd with electroactive or servo pneumatics would have the slight amount of "give" that human hands have.Visual servoing is already very good on commercial pcs,and should be great on military computers .

  • @jeetendrag10acc2 true, that or have the unit itself recessed underground and hidden during non-fueling sessions.

  • electroactive polymer actuators and visual servoeing are better suited.The robot is too rigid,and not enough of the rubbery flexible feel of human manipulation.They will damage planes.
