Faces of Distracted Driving: Casey Feldman, 21

On July 17, 2009, 21-year-old Casey Feldman was struck and killed by a distracted driver as she crossed the street in Ocean City, New Jersey.

To honor her memory, Casey's family and friends produced this video for the U.S. Department of Transportation's "Faces of Distracted Driving" series.

I live in the close-in suburbs of a large Northeast city and my morning commute is 45 minutes of stop-and-go, stop-and-go. I work long hours, and the people driving along side of me are always on their cell phones. It's not a good mix. I'm Very Much in favor of a larger, reliable, safe public transit system where tired people or distracted people can hop on and relax. If it was reliable enough, I'd take it.
