These were actually consecutive from last night. But, like anybody else, I needed to go to bed. Now that I'm back here and able to upload again, here are the next three matches.

Match #4
Toon Link
Flat Zone 2
This is a stage I don't see very much of anymore. Final Destination didn't overcentralize everything last night the way it normally did, but still, I miss this place. Wolf must not be too used to Flat Zone 2. He played pretty well before, but it loks like he made a few mistakes here. The real fall guys this time were the computer players though...so at least a computer player didn't win this one this time.

Match #5
Olimar
Mario Bros.
Another stage I haven't played in forever. But Olimar is a character I've never used before on Mario Bros., and his approach is pretty different. All of his longer range moves involve his Pikmin, and combined with the online lag, it's hard to gauge when to attack, and with what, in order to make a Shellcrawler or Sidestepper ready to pick up. And for some reason, Yoshi's throws did a lot more knockback than Olimar's. Is this a natural thing in the game, or is there something I'm not getting about this place? Getting hit by a thrown enemy in Mario Bros. is usually an instant KO.

Match #6
Pikachu
Port Town Aero Dive
Yoshi plays real cheap. He stands back and lets the eggs do the dirty work. The results of this match clearly show why it isn't a good idea though: You don't get any KOs that way. Maybe it works in Stock, but not here. The match went into Sudden Death, and the music felt pretty intense for a showdown between Pikachu and Lucas. One lesson learned here: Do not stand on a racetrack during a race!

  • So Overhazard, have you joined the Tiers Are For Queers foundation?

  • Why would I?

  • I thought you would be the kind of person who would get eventually tired of all the Foxs and Falcos on online brawls.

  • They just need a good pummeling from characters they don't consider very good to get scared away.

I choose to remain independent. I never liked the concept of clans and clubs, since they thrive on exclusionism.

  • I've never heard of spamming Yoshi's eggs to win. If a person wanted to win by playing cheap, there are many other ways he could have done it. I have seen someone use Yoshi's eggs to steal points before, but it was an accident.

  • Which, of course, is why he got no KOs in Port Town Aero Dive. Later on, the Yoshi player played a bit more aggressively, however.

  • olimar is so frickin small

  • Okay then, have it your way, I guess.

  • I used the Smash throws, definitely. Turns out Yoshi was changing the colors of the enemies to have more knockback, and when I was about to KO Yoshi, most of the time another enemy came about that knocked him back or he sidestepped.

  • On Mario Bros, did you just push the A button to throw, or did you "smash throw" where you held the direction you wanted to throw while pushing A?

Because those are stronger, and I think have even more knockback.

It's the only reason I can think of, considering I've played Olimar on Mario Bros. before and never had problems with the shells killing people.
