@MagCynic the problem with western society... people think it's "mean" to be told, "you're wrong." When you can't make a mistake, you cease being able to learn.
Mr. Wizard (Don Herbert) and Carl Segan were my childhood heroes, and are responsible for my inquisitive nature. I can not thank them enough, and I wish that they were still alive so that I could thank them in person.
Thanks for posting these! I grew up with the 80s reprisal of Mr. Wizard that appeared on Nickelodeon. I really miss seeing great shows such as these, and it's a shame there aren't more like it for the kids to enjoy and learn from now.
