Difficult to explain, but the easiest way is to tie some elastic the size that it fits the head, then crochet OVER it to seal it into the band of the hat. You can do it, don't be angry, lol let it flow and eventually it will happen.

Yes I'm still working on it. I had to change patterns and I stopped totally during the holidays. Hopefully it will be done in another week or so. Thanks for being patient.
