The second episode in this season of Dungeons & Dragons: Encounters 'The Dark Legacy of Evard'.

Watch as our players brave the darkness of the Shadowfell, searching after runaway wizard (and trying not to be devoured by horrible demon frogs).

PLUS: The review of Zak Sabbath's 'Vornheim: The Complete City Kit'. The greatest D&D product ever made? I'll let you be the judge (But the answer is yes).

Directed/Edited by Kiel Chenier.
Shot by Dustin Lapointe.

  • Just something to note: Camera mic's suck. I would recomend a boom mic or a combo mic setup to get audio from the DM and a boom nearby to get the other players audio.

  • @RageSeth Trust me, I know. Unfortunately, a boom or set of lavs were never in the budget for this series (budget = $0.00).

  • ITS AWSOME BUT THE BACKROUND PEOPLE HAVE TO SHUT UP!!!!!!!!

  • @sef4lyf

To put this in perspective. Wednesday nights at Dueling grounds, there are usually 1-2 other tables playing D&D (mostly kids) as well as 4 tables playing board games/Magic cards, as well as 2 tables playing Warhammer/WWII wargames.

That's over 2 dozen people crowded into a basement.

  • Robbie played a swordmage, I have heard chatter about others playing a swordmage as well in this Dark Legacy campaign. However I was under the impression that 4E essentials doesn't support swordmage are you house ruling it?

  • @colsen1992 For this encounters program, I'm allowing any player to use any character they wish, provided it is of the same level as everyone else and isn't loaded down with magical items. I'm all for using the Essentials pre-gen characters, but many players really want to use their own characters. I'm not about to rain on their parade.

  • I miss the days where people put together parties that would actually travel together............ ed 4 is so overblown with powerful beings... d&d was so much cooler in the 80's and 90's

  • @ScaryHairStudios Been their. But either then that its a good look of what I would like to jump into. Hopefully I can head into encounters and hang with a group eventually.

  • I like the Rush in the background! And the D&D!

  • @ScaryHairStudios no one should have to shut up, but maybe if everyone invested in some cheap rugs and/or bean bag chairs or something to absorb the sound. victorian dresses, maybe.

  • Ah okay I guess that makes sense, do you also allow any race?
