My VCE Media Unit 4 Media Product for Year 12, Class of 2008 at Scotch College. This film won Runner Up in the Drama Category of the Bond University Film and Television Awards in 2008, was selected for Top Screen and Top Designs as part of the VCE Season of Excellence for 2009, won Best Drama in the Boroondara Youth Short Film Festival as part of Youth Week 2009, won Best Drama in the Under 18s category of the 'Show Us Your Shorts' film competition at the 26th Annual Warburton Film Festival, won the award for Under 18s in the Jump Cut Open Youth Category of the Bayside Film Festival 2009, and was a finalist in the Best Secondary Fiction category of the 2009 EnhanceTV ATOM Awards.

(From the Top Designs 2009 catalogue):
Originating from the absurd image of a teenage boy with a teddy bear, the film developed to say something more about the human condition. My film shows the conflict between a father wishing to forget the past and a son wishing to hold onto its shadows. I took careful steps throughout production to maintain a subtle and intimate piece.

  • WOW that was great (Y)

i hope my SAT will at least be half as good as yours

  • That. Was. Amazing.

  • absolutly fantastic !

  • stunning work :)

  • Great camerawork and use of filters. Thin storyline, but the film itself looked great.

Would love to see you make another film that isn't so reliant on its quality of footage and concerntrate more so on the quality of the storyline, because you have a great eye for composition.

But I understand how fun HD can be when you have your hands on such a camera, you can't help but put it to use. 4/5

  • wow. really good camera work :)

  • awesome film mate

ive got frencham as my yr 11 media teacher aand hes great. the good thing about having him around is that being a teenager you dont get alot of adult actors around u so u have to use someone whos never acted but having him makes it alot easier and more professional.

anyways good work that was great

  • AMAZING! Loved the film! The story was so delicate and beautiful (and CUTE), the cinematography was BEAUTIFUL and I just loved the acting as well. What program did you use to edit? What camera? Well done!!!!! P.S. ZOMG I WANT THAT TEDDY BEAR. :D

  • wow way to generalise an entire national film industry when all you have uploaded is "world's shittest fighter".

"make a real film"? how about you get a real life

  • thats awesome! congrats! i hoped you'd get in! - actually i'm already going (i was in top class for theatre, and unfortunately didn't make it but atleast i get free tix to come see what will be a brilliant show!)

and about posting up top class/acts footage - are you sure thats ok to do that? i was thinking of it but didn't know if it was legal haha
