GICOM Composting Systems

GICOM Composting Systems is developing and manufacturing innovative climate control systems and computer controlled invessel composting plants. Which since 1984 placed worldwide. Development and production takes place in Biddinghuizen which is central located in the Netherlands.

The GICOM invessel technology has different applications:
- Composting of biowaste, food waste, sewage sludge, industrial sludges, manure, municipal solid waste (MSW) and anaerobic digestion process residue.
- Biological drying of municipal solid waste (MSW) and other waste streams containing organics.
- Production of different mushroom compost (phase 1, 2 and 3) using aerated floor fermentation, indoorcomposting as well as tunnels.
- Production of mushrooms, such as white mushrooms, oyster mushrooms and shii-take, in special growing rooms using advanced air handling systems.

Dutch: Sinds 1984 ontwikkeld en fabriceert GICOM Composting Systems innovatieve computergestuurde klimaatbeheersingsystemen en tunnelcomposteringsinstallaties welke wereldwijd worden geplaatst. Ontwikkeling en productie vinden plaats in eigen beheer vanuit het centraal in Nederland gelegen Biddinghuizen, Flevoland.

De GICOM klimaattechnologie heeft diverse toepassingsgebieden:
- Verwerking van organische afvalstromen, zoals GFT-afval, groenafval, industrieel- en zuiveringsslib en anaëroob vergist materiaal, mest, dierlijk afval en allerlei andere organische reststromen;
- Biologisch drogen van grijsafval en afval stromen met veel niet organische delen;
- Productie van verse compost (substraat) met behulp van beluchte fermentatievloeren en fermentatietunnels;
- Productie van gepasteuriseerde en doorgroeide compost;
- Teelt van paddestoelen, zoals champignons, oesterzwammen en shii-take, in met speciale luchtbehandelingssystemen uitgeruste kweekcellen
