Many people have left comments on my videos saying: "At least LEGO is not made in China" or "I only buy LEGO because all the other bricks are cheap junk made in China, and LEGO is not." To that my reply is: "Really?" So I started thinking that maybe people really don't know where their LEGO is made, maybe they really do think it's not made in China. After all, that would certainly explain a lot of the comments I get on this topic. So this video is designed to educate, inform, and enlighten (no pun intended) those of you out there who don't know where your LEGO comes from.

For this video I just used some sets that were lying around my workspace. There is no master plan intended, and there truly is no rhyme or reason as to why they have been included in this video. In the future I intend to make another one of these videos, and in that one I will go out of my way to try and find LEGO sets that are not made in China; yes I know, good luck on that one.

Here is a list of some of the sets included in this video:

  • To everyone who is reading this, I think this man is out of this mind personally by the way he is speaking. LEGO is a Danish company and it's Headquarters is in Denmark. It is made in many countries, the Majority being European and then Mexico, and then specialized part's are Made in China. The only part's made in China are the specialized part's which don't seem to be bad quality at all. Most companies now are ONLY Made in China. So it's a big fuss over nothing.

  • I think Lego is made in China but the MAJORITY of the SETS are made in Denmark, Hungary, Czech Republic. Based on my research of my sets reveals:

    70% Denmark, Hungary, Czech Republic

    20% Austria, Germany, Sweden

    2% Mexico

8% China [Mostly the Collectable Minifigures]

  • I don't like this new chinese made lego. The plastic is CRAP, and lego knows it. Old danish, german and US made lego needs to come back, where it lasted over 20 years without even fading if properly cared for

  • so thats where all the china lego knock off comes from...

  • XD Legos are made at home the parts are made from diffrent countries

  • I think the minifigs are made in china.

  • yes but Germany invented lego for the buildings they had

  • @LordDavid04 Sadly there is no real competition with LEGO, maybe if there was, LEGO would not have anything made in China. However thankfully it is just a few Specialized Part's in only some set's. The majority of set's are still wonderful Quality. Unlike some companies which have just gave up.

  • @AmazingGalaxy Bad quality? But they are!

The big fuss is this Danish company having to slowly do what every other major toy producer is doing, go to China. Sure, it's only a small number of specialized parts and minifigs, but it's a worrying thought. Not to mention what with counterfeit Lego like Enlighten, siding with the "enemy" is not a great idea.

Why can't specialized parts be made in Mexico, where the plastic quality is good?

  • @BeanMeister22 Oh I get it! :), So that's the only reason why your arguing is because of those people who defend the cost of LEGO, you still love LEGO and think the Quality is great it's just that reason that makes you angry, well then that's fine. I guess it's so expensive because the actual pieces are made in Denmark, although there are a lot of sales and deals and the majority of people don't mind and still buy it anyway so I wouldn't worry about it :)

  • @BeanMeister22 I actually can't believe your Human. I have never ever in my life seen someone talk so crazy, you talk like your a conspiracy theorist. You have no fact's, you stopped talking when I gave you the proper fact of the Illegal Shipment from a real source and you always stop talking because you know I'm right I feel sorry for you because I can move on with my life, but you seem to think LEGO is solemnly made in China and you seem to want to prove it to the world move on!

  • @AmazingGalaxy Once again you stop by to troll this video, and once again you are without a clue, and without facts; and you dare to question my facts? And yes, my facts are facts, which means they are correct and true, and your statements are just tripe from the mouth of someone who wishes he was part of something bigger, and therefore has taken up the fight to defend the indefensible actions of LEGO. Did you hear that LEGO is coming out with a GI Joe series?
