With my lute friend Trond!
Trond Bengtson Lute. Ernst Stolz bass viol (viola da gamba)
This famous song by Dowland, sounds wonderful on an instrument from which one said, it is closest to the human voice (but they use to say that from other instruments as well).
Okay I agree it has a whiff of kitsch, but it is a good instrumental exercise too.

  • I disagree there is any kitsch in this music. In the self-pitying words of the song, perhaps, but the music is exquisite and perfect, as is this wonderful performance.
