This version is mad slow! The one on Letterman was so fast and AMAZING! Did they slow it down so Kelly could join in?

at first i was hopin they would perform this at the tony awards....then again, that was a month and a half ago when i firs saw this song w/this cast! this song's been on tv four times already!! great performance however, i dont seem to get tired of it. besides, i would rather them perform the tonight ensemble at the tonys caus it will bring the whole cast onstage =D

I know! At first I wanted them to do America for the Tonys because it's my favorite song in the show but they've done it so much now...we haven't even seen Tony and Maria. Maybe they could do the Dance at the Gym for the Tonys?

That's a great idea... but Dance at the Gym is just that - dancing. Don't bite my head off for this, but I don't think that dancing is Karen's strongest suit. (I love her acting and her singing, though). Maybe Tonight (the quartet) would be good for the Tonys - it has a little bit of everybody in it.

I won't bite your head off, I agree with you: dance-wise Karen is not the strongest Anita. But the dance is a big cast number and then (in my little scenario) when Tony and Maria meet during the dance they could sing part of Tonight or One Hand One Heart. But the Quartet would be pretty great too.

I think Kelly did great for having little rehearsal. Oh and karen Olivo is incredible. Plus she seems really sweet in person. Good times to be had by all!

@Flawesomesisters01 West Side Story the stage musical came first. So no this is right. They changed it for the movie just because they personally thought it would work better on film.

um.... ok, well in the movie the boys sing and dance to sooo THIS IS WRONG!!!!!!!!! But it is amaizing and i love the main girl (the one in the purple dress) she is flippin awesome!!!

THANK YOU KAREN! I've been learning this production's dance for about 2 months(just because...), and since I am not a dancer...the walk throughs help alot. And make me realize how much I need to take a salsa dance class!

I think Kelly did a really good job for someone who doesn't dance for a living. I know that I couldn't do half as good a job as Kelly did. And I've actually tried to dance to it (at home, of course).
