Julia Francis performs John Lennon's 'Instant Karma!' as part of her Seattle CD Release Show for the new record 'Lucky Penny', at The Triple Door on Apr 22, 2008. Julia is joined by Ben Smith, Andy Stoller, Darren Loucas, Sean Divine and Susan McIntyre.

Julia's latest CD, 'Lucky Penny', co-produced by Violent Femmes drummer Victor DeLorenzo and Mike Hoffmann of EIEIO, released on April 18th, 2008. Performances from world-class musicians include those of drummers Vinnie Colaiuta (Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, Sting) and Ben Smith (Heart, Cyndi Lauper).

Just got it now!  On hearing this performance a second time, I noticed Darren's signature sound. It's a very subtle way of playing an arpeggio phrase, with a melancholic vibe...Guitar genius!
