Yup, I made a tutorial :P

It's my first tutorial, so let me know how I could improve. The tripod as I mentioned in the video is in a really awkward spot (between the bench and the piano - in other words I'm playing around and through it!), but if you've got a better idea of where to put it and still get a good view, let me know ha. I tried behind me but then I just block the camera...

Here's the three Lost pieces the tutorial is on, and where you can find them in the video. All Lost music is by Michael Giacchino.

Richard's Theme (Season 6) - 1:00
There's No Place Like Home (Season 4) - 4:00
Jacob's Theme (Seasons 5/6) - 6:50

For much better recordings of each song (minus the tutorial part :P) check out my other Lost piano videos. I have them all nicely arranged in a playlist, so check that out. Each video says in the description what songs are included in it.

...Good Luck playing the pieces! ;)

  • What chord is that on 4:49?? :)

  • @UberStrikeBaylie E minor7 (so the notes are E, G(natural), B, and D). Hope that helps!

  • whats the code a 4:36 ? its hard to hear u over the piano on that one

  • @JMayzler D Major

  • I like your tutorial, I am currently playing Richards theme by ear as well, but im using a program that is telling me the notes. Your playing yours using different keys than mine, but ours both sound great in our own unique way. Yours sounds good, mine sounds a bit different but still definitely richards theme. Here were my chords: A#-35 F#-31 A#-35 C-37 C# C-37 A#-35 A#-35 F#-31 A#-35 C-37 G#-33 F-30
  • @BickeringBlokes Thanks.

The notes you posted are notes, not chords (unless the numbers mean something - I wasn't sure what the numbers meant!). But either way, it's the same notes per se just in a different key :)

But yeah, I can't comment on the chords you're using because I don't know what they are! Let me know if there's a way I'm supposed to read the numbers to understand the chords :P
