Is it actually possible to smell gunpowder at this point?

@psychronia The short answer is yes, it's very likely that the smell of gunpowder was still quite strong on that robe.

That analysis is based on three main things; the amount of powder discharged (determined by the size and type of bullet), the composition of the clothing in question, and how well that clothing was preserved.
