Mayakovsky - Frank O'Hara

Now I am quietly waiting for
the catastrophe of my personality
to seem beautiful again,
and interesting, and modern.

The country is grey and
brown and white in trees,
snows and skies of laughter
always diminishing, less funny
not just darker, not just grey.

It may be the coldest day of
the year, what does he think of
that? I mean, what do I? And if I do,
perhaps I am myself again.

  • Guess this is the best you can get from a TV serie, ever.

  • Of all the great scenes and episodes in Mad Men, this one, perhaps above all, speaks to me the most.

  • I just lost it man, I just lost it. Wow!!! I'm glad I don't have to face anyone right away. I don't think I could do it.

  • It is easy to be beautiful;it is difficult to appear so. -Frank O'Hara
