12 May 2005 A buffalo was shot and killed by police in a sand quarry near where the dead man was located.

12 April 2005 In two separate motor vehicle accidents vehicles collided with buffaloes. One near the airport and one near Wallaby Beach.

8 May 2005 A buffalo charged a number of persons at East Woody causing some to take refuge in trees. Police attended but the buffalo ran into scrub.

9 May 2005 A mini-bus carrying workers from the plant struck a buffalo on the outskirts of the community.

I would not recomend it to people in a wheelchair, kids above 5 will be fine.

Can you post a couple of links with reporters of people killed by the "beast"?

People can search Bufalo India and you will see how dangerous they are. I recall seeing a 2 years old boy on top of one.

In recent months there have been numerous incidents involving buffaloes in and around Nhulunbuy. They are:

5 December 2004 buffalo shot near south side oval by police after wandering into town area

23 March 2005 buffalo wandered into fire station and was shot by police after it could not be herded from town area

I'm wondering what kind of stuff you are smoking. Bufallos, living in the wild in the Marajo Island in Brazil are still friendly.

@800access... Its marketing, don't get me wrong I do not like getting in the way of a pissed of buff but they do not go for the hunter as a rule. Cape buffalo in Africa are different-then you are hunting an animal which can and will kill you without blinking... Water buffalo? Please.... Scrub cattle worry me far more

when we were in humpty doo we went out with a bloke and shot 1 with a 375hh and it did not want to go down these animals are dangerous and will kill you if u dont no what ur doing
