  • @BZLIAN99 ours started at about 16K or so with the keyless. ac, ect that was on it, gas milage on the highway was right around 5.5L per 100km and mixed summer is 7.3 or so, though winter was allot worse at 9.2L per 100km, still not bad, as for safety if the 2010 is as strong as the 2007 then it is, the 2007 I was driving survived a pretty fast T bone with not much really showing, airbags deployed and saved my fauther :). I am happy with it as it stands. other cars tried but still like this one

I guess it's safe to say that reviews from either places are opinionated to an extent. The best way to find out where you stand is to check it out in person and test drive it.

And on the Honda site it says that the Fit starts at 15,100.

  • Another thing ... I've read many things about the Fiesta's steering and handling they've ALL been good!

Consumer Reports once steered me into buying a really crummy mini stereo some years ago, so I take what they say with a grain of salt.:-)

Btw, my choice at present time for "bang-for-the buck" is a Ford Focus in the 2011 model year or earlier, as those are from all I've heard, decent, reliable cars that'll be sold at a bargain due to dealers wanting to get the newer Focus models on the lots.

  • @ I appreciate your sensible attitude here. But how safe can this car really be if they put the gas tank right under the drivers seat? Sure those folks at the Fit forum were giving their opinions, but there's hardly anything wrong with that. (Btw, nearly all of them said they still loved their Fit.) I would love to get one but hearing all those things about paint chipping and weird gas pedal to steering wheel configuration and the rest killed it for me.:-(

Also, Fits cost way more than $15,000.

All I did was read the consumer reports. They said that the 2011 is the most reliable subcompact in it's class. The only negative comment they had was"road noise" while the fiesta had "shifty steering". it's got great safety and it's got a lot of room. Most of those comments you read me are opinionated and sound like the people who said those things were looking for something wrong. Come on man...it's a $15,000 car. No BMW.

  • @BZLIAN99 I perused lots of comments last night at a Fit forum in which someone asked "What don't you like about the Fit?" While admittedly the question was asked a while back, it ran for several pages. People were saying the paint chips way too easily, that the AC is weak, that the carpet is garbage, that the body dents too easily, that the gas milage was disappointing, that the motor was too weak, that the front seats do little adjusting, that the sound system sucks, ... I'll forgo the Fit.
