@Ztormie Actually there is but not in english and is going under publication. JAL made another book 'little star' and after that one there is a collection of short stories coming out in one book and the epilogue -not sequel- is called Let The Old Dreams Die. be out in america in a year or so. Europe at least :P
I actually didn't care for the book. It had pedophilia, child prostitution, etc and lacked the sweet tone of the movie. I also thought that the relationship between Oskar and Eli should have been explored in more depth. Instead we get a bunch of pointless story threads that detract from the main story. Ugh. Anyway they could still do a sequel. I mean minority report was based on a short story. Why not? Also I don't care for the gender neutral thing. I wasn't a big fan of the book.
Personally, we can never tell if there is a sequel to Let the right one in. Handling the undead is a totally different book from lat den ratte komma in, you know. But who knows, time will only tell.
There is however a sort of epilogue coming out in form of a short story, included in a collection of short stories that JAL will release probably in 2010. It will be called "Let the old dreams die" and will tell what happened after LTROI. Let the old dreams die, is the second line in the Morrissey song that LTROI got it's title from. JAL's a huge Moz fan.
There is no sequel to the book, JAL´s next book is called "Handling the undead", it´s about zombies in Stockholm, no connection whatsoever to Let The Right one in.
Great movie, but the book was much better.

But personally i would love to see a sequel to Let the right one on in. I want to see John Ajvide Lindqvist do a follow to the book.
