  • There are different views from different schools in Buddhism. I personally do not agree that high Lamas do not have karma or sickness that result from it. It is said that even arhants and the final 10th Bhumi Boddhisatvas have to repay their karmic debt before they enter into Nirvana, let alone lamas. Even the Buddha said He has residual karma that resulted in the various ordeals he went through after attaining Buddhahood.

    It seems only the Rainbow Body is not subject to such ordeals

  • May we have continual mind transformation in order to create the karma for all teachers to remain with us for a very long time.

  • Rinpoche, thank you for this precious Teaching and for all that you do to remind us of the sacred opportunity we have through the kindness of our Teachers such as Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and yourself. I pray for the long life and excellent health of my own Teacher Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo and for Lama Zopa Rinpoche to remain steadfast in this world until time ceases. May your life also be long, Rinpoche. Thank you.

  • Rinpoche thank you for this teaching.

  • Thank you for your kindness at expressing these things so that we may understand better. Thank you Rinpoche.

  • Dear Rinpoche thank you so much.

  • You who uphold the Subduer's moral way;

    Who serve as the bountiful bearer-of-all,

    Sustaining, preserving and spreading Manjunath's victorious doctrine;

    Who masterfully accomplish magnificent prayers honoring the Three Jewels,

    Protector of myself and others, your disciples: please, please live long!

  • Rinpoche has manifested illness, but if his slurred speech has resulted from irreparable structural damage, will he be able to correct it without being reborn in a new physical body? Consciousness aside, are the worldly forms of high lamas completely immune from impermanence?

  • Thank you dearest Rinpoche. This makes me so happy to hear you teach on this very important thing.
