The Flamingo, Comstock, Fitzgerald, Nugget, Horseshoe, Harolds Club, Sundowner, ALL GONE.
Don't know how Cal Neva and Harrahs are still open. It's a matter of time they'll close. Sands will be gone too soon. The only downtown casino survivors will be CIrcus Circus, Eldorado and SIlver Legacy,
As Circus Circus, Eldorado and Silver Legacy are giving rooms away in an attempt to survive the Indian casinos and Atlantis and Peppermill, the downtown motels will convert to SROs or close.

AHH GOOD OL RENO NV LIVED HERE MY WHOLE LIFE AND IT HAS ITS UPS AND DOWNS HERE BUT WERE DOESNT. GOOD PLACE TO BE ITS QUITE NICE.

@steffanij, plus the sundowner was my fav hotel in town. The main oldschool hotels were the Virginian, horseshoe , sundowner ect. I learned to play poker a the sundowner :D did they close it in 2007? ;(

the sundowner was the shit. Im from oakland and i love visiting reno. Back in 2002 i learned how to play craps at the Sundowner.
