This is the ultra rare 1976 Canadian suspense thriller Death Weekend (aka The House by the Lake), starring Brenda Vaccaro and Don Stroud.

  • I love BREATHY Brenda Vicarro.

  • I have this on DVD. Reply if interested.

  • "You GOD DAMN FUCKING CUNT! You'll get yours baby" hahaha.

  • @casestudyification The window sticker shows it sold for $14,631.21 in 1978. (on a story about a

barn found Corvette Stingray with 13 miles on the odometer, ) so in 1975 , 12,000 wouldn't be impossible

In 1978, a man in Ohio bought the 25th anniversary limited edition Corvette, stuck it in his barn and then walked away.

  • @casestudyification In 76, the average household income was about the same.

  • Great movie, thanks for posting. I got two words for this cast: "Yee" and "Haw".

  • "Hey there's twelve thousand dollars of machinery here...." IS THAT ALL?!?!?!? My Geo Metro cost that much in 1996!!!

  • @bonebrain08 Actually they do that crap all the time! If you want to hear a low budget effect in a big budget movie (for its time), check out the downtown car crash near the beginning of Marathon Man. If you have a good ear, you can tell that the effect used for the tire screech is the same effect used in the 50's novelty tune "Transfusion"!

  • I remember this movie from the early years of HBO. Made an impression then and it would make a better impression if someone would release it on DVD. Thanks for posting. Better than VHS which is even scarce!

  • what a fuckin knock off.. beginning of car chase sound is from movie bullet with steve mc queen.. that means low budget.. wonder if anybody else caught that..
