  • @Ace9921 k I'll look for it..

  • I'm not talking as much about the sound quality as I am the quality of the soundtrack.

These "arrangements" sound like complete shit even with MIDI. A great job was done in Gofer No Yabou, but on here it's just god-awful. The Nemesis 94 soundtrack is miles better.

  • @kirgeez - If you look on my channel, I've uploaded the SC-55 MIDI version of A Journey to the Start recorded off my Roland CM-300. That's how Nemesis '90 Kai's SC-55 soundtrack should sound like.

Later on, I will upload the rest of the SC-55 soundtrack as well as the MT-32 soundtrack using my Roland CM-64.

  • @Ace9921 I would love to hear what that sounds like...:)

  • And you can use your old Roland MIDI boxes in WinX68K and other equivalent Sharp X68000 emulators by hooking them up through your USB port or on your sound card's Game port if you're using Windows XP(and if your sound card has a Game port on it). I'm telling you: the sound you hear with the Microsoft software wavetable doesn't do the MT-32 and SC-55 soundtracks in Nemesis '90 Kai justice. In order to fully appreciate them, you need a real MT-32, SC-55 or equivalent Roland MIDI box.

  • @shalpp - The MIDI tracks are starting to grow on my now. I always liked the FM soundtrack(as well as the original SCC soundtrack from the MSX game), but now that I have actual Roland MIDI boxes, a CM-64(MT-32 compatible) and a CM-300(SC-55 compatible), the sound is different from when you use Microsoft's software wavetable, which has the same instruments as the SC-55, but doesn't play them the same way. On a real SC-55 or MT-32(or compatible), the MIDI is much better.

  • The entire soundtrack kinda sounds like dick imho

  • Ok then I will show you then. I will make a video later.

  • No, I have it set to record using the Space key, and it doesn't work.

I hate the MIDI music(except for the Boss theme, like I said before), so when recording my run, I'll be using the X68000's internal sound module(FM Synthesis + ADPCM).

  • Oh I think I know what is wrong and why you cannot record with Fraps using WinX68KHighSpeed. I had to change the record button for fraps to the space bar because that button is not used in WinX68KHighSpeed. That is how I got it to record. As for the sounds I used the midi function. Which is in the games options menu not the emulator menu. I think you can also raise the sample rate to make it sound better. I'm not at home right now so I will check in later with better info.
