A 'Spiritual' Resurrection Makes JW Jesus Into Lucifer/Beelzebub

There are many points made in this video but basically, with reference to the title, a 'spiritual' resurrection of Jesus, such as that maintained by the Jehovah's Witness organization, reflects unbelief as to the Biblical Resurrection of the Lord. Since this is an essential component of the Gospel of our salvation, 1 Cor 15:1-4, this is a proof that those who believe Watchtower doctrine are not saved and will not see life (John 3:18,36). They need to repent and believe the TRUE Gospel!

The evidence for the above assertion is given in the video but it can be quickly summarized here: if Jesus rose spiritually but His body dissolved, then one may ask, what is the basis for assuming Jesus' Resurrection is different from all those individuals in the Bible who were raised bodily, either by God through holy men or by Jesus Himself? The Watchtower gives this answer: we know that they were raised bodily but Jesus spiritually because they died a second time whereas Jesus now lives for ever.

There are at least two errors with this reasoning. The first is that Jesus dies no more not because of a different resurrection but because of His sinlessness.

"Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God." Rom 6:9-10

Others died a second time because they still had sin in their flesh; in other words, they sinned after being raised from the dead.

The second error of the Watchtower is that in fact, there WERE individuals raised from the dead who did not die a second time! These are the saints which arose at Jesus' Resurrection and went into the holy city (Matt 27:52-53). The New World Translation of the Bible gives an extremely obtuse 'translation' of these verses to suit their doctrine (see video annotation). Their translation claims that these saints did not really rise from the dead, later to ascend to heaven with God as part of the fulfillment of the "first fruits offering" (see Lev 23:9-14), but rather that their corpses were thrust out of their graves to loll horribly before the eyes of those passing by.

IS this a worthy accompaniment for the resurrection of the Lord?

The following verse speaks of Lucifer:

"But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet." Isaiah 14:19

So Lucifer will be cast out of his grave in this manner.

The Bible says, "It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?" Matt 10:25

So the saints, the servants and disciples of the Lord and Master, have by the Watchtower had their bodily resurrection likened to the fate of Lucifer. Since they are as their Lord and Master, this means the Watchtower is calling Jesus, Lucifer/Beelzebub. This is 'another Jesus', to go along with their 'another spirit' and 'another gospel', all of which are discussed in this video (2 Cor 11:3-4, 13-15).

May God have mercy on Jehovah's Witnesses and save MANY of them out of this false organization! In Jesus' Name, Amen.

@j Study, and look into the history of the watchtower bible: Johannes Greber. Did you know this ex-Roman Catholic priest and spiritist was exposed BY THE WATCHTOWER for spiritism but 7 years later the watchtower QUOTED HIM in support of their mistranslation of Jn 1:1, "a god"...so your doctrine denying the deity of Christ is literally a "doctrine of devils".

@j Also, if you want to study, why not study the origins of the corrupt watchtower bible? The watchtower bible repeatedly changes the Scriptures to make it look like the obligation of salvation and transformation is on the man, instead of the truth, which is that GOD saves us to the uttermost by His free gift of grace, and His grace working in us progressively manifests what we already fully have the moment we believe in Christ.

@j The Scripture doesn't say 'prove to yourself', but, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Prove, as in discover by experience what the will of God produces, by God's grace being brought to the place where you will and do God's will (see Jn 7:17, Phil 2:12-13)--GOD's will, not the will of an organization that substitutes itself for God.

@jonnyneo53 So since His flesh rested in hope (Psalm 16:9, Acts 2:26), and you acknowledge that this is because He would rise from the dead, then clearly His flesh rose from the dead. Psalm 16:9 and Acts 2:26 clearly teach that Jesus rose bodily. That is the point.
