Once again the media (and the military) tout a white woman as THE hero, ignoring the contributions of minority individuals, or "ugly" people. Jessica Lynch made a hero, when in fact her "ugly" fellow soldiers (made up of white, black and asian) were the real heroes. Fast forward to now, Munley, another white blond gal, is made the hero when a Mark Todd, a black guy, is the one who took the suspect down. I kept on hearing about a male officer, but wondered why few were talking about him.

When I first heard it, it sounded like they were embellishing it, definite shades of the Jessica Lynch. About Lynch, I remember the story being about how she emptied her clip, feverishly defending her fellow soldiers and the convoy. Then, now, about Munley, reporters and others gushing about how she put four in the chest of the suspect. All this crap fits in with white privilege. No way they'd embellish if the "hero' is a minority. In fact, the hero was, and they praised the white gal instead.

You forgot Pat Tillman and how they first covered up his death having Genarals to sign off stating that it was gun shots by the enemy only later to see that it was friendly fire. "We cant give credit to a Negro".

The problem is that Sgt. Mark Todd is a "Negro". America cant dare give credit to a black man that labels him a hero..Good ole red white blue
