@BeachBabby233 A friend that work at one of the local Saturn dealerships before they all closed- mention to me- that GM became more and more involved in the Saturn line of automobiles- and one of the key elements that GM pushed was to cut their cost- and they began using lower quality materials and parts quality diminished more and more over time. You are right in that the saturn design in terms of look- remained quite consistant. It's the parts quality that diminished.
@mindthoughts1974 I agree the Saturn went downhill over the years, but the S-series from 91-02 Were basically all the same. Yes they did have a few quirks to them, but overall they were the same.
I like the old Saturns, 1991-1993. Those were very good cars. They were like lower cost Toyotas, not exactly- but close. Now not one Saturn dealership is open- I think Saturn drifted away from their original values, and core beliefs about making a truly better car. The longer Saturn was in business- quality control went down down down. I've owned several 1995 and newer Saturns- they all experiences costly breakdowns(including transmissions). 1991-93 were the best models Saturn made- the early m
