my favorite song by these guys, such a shame that a band way ahead of its time was underrated in the 60s
-
I love this band and all that the group members did after their demise. Colin Blunstone has such an angelic voice.
-

In my opinion, the secret of the zombies lies especially on the figure of Rod Argent, who gave to the band that awesome jazz-classical influence. The sound of the piano added to the sultry voice of Colin. Chris White did a great work too on the lyrics.
If Al Kooper didn't rescue this work from being erased... ( actually, O & O was only released in the USA, because of his intercession)
Even The Byrds, The Doors, or THe Kinks themselves were influenced by them.
Oops.. I wrote too much, sorry :p

the Zombies were as cogent and interconnected as the Beatles. Without the
others - they may not have excelled as they did. Colin's voice is superb, Rod's a musician's musician and a blast, but don't forget Paul's excellent guitar voicings( he's my hero), Chris White's minimalist bass and vocals and Hugh's great jazz drums back up.
I love this group. they are important and seminal pop artists.
