You can make 8 loafs of bread with 5lbs flour. 5lbs of flour costs from 1.99 (on sale) to 5.99 (high end). Good side of making own bread is you can add your own ingredients and you know what you put in. It is safer. :)

@karenbcz22 I love bread. Sometimes eating out is more about the fresh bread than the meal. So like Pizza Hut w/ breadsticks costs $22 for the family, This'll knead the dough for u, then u shape it, sauce it & pop it in oven = you just saved $20. Loaf @ Grocery is only $3 but may have preservatives & unhealthy ingredients, w/ this can use whole wheat flour--BETTER than store bought. After buying machine, cost of premium fresh healthy loaf is <$0.75.
