It really doesn't get better than this --- it reminds me of how rare
it is that a great player like Martha Argerich is really in the same
league as Brooks Smith when it comes to the the sonata form.
Of course Gidon Kremer does a fabulous job with this as well.

I love the way Kremer varies the tempo to express feeling. Either they've rehearsed this a lot or Martha is a genius at following his lead.

Watching and hearing his playing, I almost feel like I'm looking through a window into the past, perhaps catching a performance by one of the great 19th-century Romantic violinists.

It doesn't take much to realize what an amazing musician he is... It's as if you can hear the breaths of the Violin as it's singing!
