hes onside, when the ball is half way to him hes level with the offside , and hes fast so he wouldve been onside when the ball was played

he wasnt offside either as when he scores the goal everyone celebrates with rooney and runs around which they dont do when they are offside in the game and if it was ashley young he would have stopped when he was still running before he crossed it because when they are offside they always stop and are like wtf??? basically if it was offside (which it wasnt) by the time rooney took the volley the other player would have been in the free kick bit

@xzelda07 No shit, I said in a previous comment that it's not Rooney that's offside, its the player who crosses him the ball, Ashley Young??? When the first ball in the clip is played through, the player running onto the ball is offside, that's why when he crosses it, the referee blows his whistle, it's definitely not a sound effect, why the hell would they put a sound effect in the game that sounds just like the referees whistle, that would just be dumb, it's definitely 100% the refs whistle!!

that was probably a sound effect fifa added with the crowd and rooney wasnt offside because if you go to 0:02 and pause rooney was behind their defenders and whoever passed the ball to rooney was in front of him and whenever you pass a ball backwards it can NEVER be offside

@xzelda07 Well why the hell did the whistle go before Rooney hit the ball? Ref doesn't blow the whistle for no reason does he? Turn your hearing aid up and listen, between 2-3 seconds the whistle goes!

@fiftips It's not dude, listen to the whistle before Rooney hits the ball, he's given offside, whoever is crossing the ball, Young i believe, is offside!! Press Play and then Immediately press pause you'll see that Young is in an offside position, that's why after he touches the ball to cross it, the ref blows the whistle!! You can hear it as clear as day!! Am i wrong? Am i just hearing things?? I'm sure i hear the whistle??
