In this eye makeup tutorial, Make-Up Designory's Reiva Cruze reveals some tips and tricks to compliment blue eyes.
Reiva starts by creating a base shadow on her blue-eyed model's upper lids. She loads her #810 Blending Brush (http://shop.mudshop.com/810-smudger-natural-blend-brush ) using color from an Auburn Eye Pencil (http://shop.mudshop.com/auburn-eye-pencil ).
Its not too important for the color to be even because we are going to be blending in more colors, but be careful not to drop the corners or the eyes will look droopy.
Reiva turns to her #800 Brush (http://shop.mudshop.com/crease-brush ) to blend in new layers of eye color. The first color she applies is Firebrick (http://shop.mudshop.com/firebrick ). This vibrant orange eyeshadow color will really contrast with the blue eyes and make them pop. The Spanish Gold color helps to soften the orange.
Next Reiva creates a contour in the crease of the eyelid for a little depth, again using the #810 brush. Try lifting up the eyebrow with your thumb so you can clearly see the shape of the crease and follow its contour. Soften it up with the #800 Brush.
Next Reiva introduces the #210 Angle Brush (http://shop.mudshop.com/210-angle-liner-brush ), which she uses with color from the Auburn Eye Pencil, to create a subtle drop-shadow on the lower lid along the lash line. Work from the outside corners to the center. Reiva works back over the line with the Esspresso Eye Color (http://shop.mudshop.com/espresso ) using the same brush. Then for a last bit of extra emphasis she lines the top eyelid with a #100 Liner Brush (http://shop.mudshop.com/100-eyeliner-brush ) and Brown Cake Eyeliner (http://shop.mudshop.com/brown-cake ).
To complete the look, use Make-Up Designory Mascara on the lashes. Reiva suggests starting with the top of the lashes first, applying all the way from the root of the lash to the tip, and she like to use the #500 Fan Brush (http://shop.mudshop.com/500-mascara-synthetic-brush ) because when you turn it on it's side, you can coat each individual eyelash.
Finally Reiva uses a little Soft Peach Cheek Color (http://shop.mudshop.com/soft-peach ) to warm up the cheeks. This color is in the same analogous range, and works well with the orange tones used on the eyes to really make those baby blues stand out.

  • @XDHELLO64 @XDHELLO64- give it a rest ...some women are very nervous to be filmed and therefore don't know how to project expression on the camera. She's not a pro model - result - a dead-pan expression. Pay attention to the artist's color instruction and quit with the complaints and tear-downs.
