Yes, the theme song "Disneyland Is Your Land" was first used at Disneyland in Anaheim, Ca and since then has been used for all 25th Anniversary celebrations for each park with a slight difference in the way the song was performed with a newer opening intro, as the theme remained the same for Tokyo Disney's 25th celebration, 25 years later since the park's opening in April 1983 and still remains one of the most popular and charished theme songs. I know, it's been one of my favorites.

Now I noticed, back in 80's all 3 disney theme park, Disneyland anaheim, Walt Disney World, and Tokyo Disneyland shared the same song!! "Disneyland is your land!" "Disney World is your World!" "Tokyo Disneyland is your land" Interesting.

@mastromjm Oh my god!!! Yes you are right!! Tokyo Disneyland exactly copied this song! Amazing! I'm Japanese by the way, when I was kid, I was obsessed by this song... actually "Tokyo Disneyland is your land " version. I didn't know about this was the original. I'm so glad to see this video! Feels like I know more about disneyland history ;) Thank you, @scottof83

I was also in this parade! The first part of the year I was in the front seat of the trolley in the Main Street unit, and then I was a hoedown dancer in the Bear Country unit for the second part of the year. What a time we had!! I wouldn't trade my time there for anything, and I still remember all the words to the "Disneyland is Your Land" song too. How can we forget? We sang that song for 2 hours doing the Rose Parade in 1980. Thank you for posting this trip down memory lane!!

I'm jealous of my older brother. He came here when he was 6. He met MJ here. i was born a year later. This is actually how my dad got his job. He met MJ and got a job as a producer for his concerts. I met MJ in 1991, and we were best friends for a long time. His death makes me sad. Live long MJ.

Nice parade. It also looks quite identical to WDW's Tencennial (10th anniversary) Parade.
Question: Do you happen to know which character was playing the calliope at the end? He was so hidden.:p
