The First Nations of the Americas

A video I made celebrating the first peoples of North and South America, including Native Americans, Alaskan natives, the Olmecs, Toltecs, the Aztecs, the Mayans, the Incans, and indigenous Brazilans.

The Spanish tore down Aztec cities to make their new cities. Mexico City's Cathedrals are often made from the materials of the old Aztec temples. Besides Mexico's population is larger than most countries in Europe and Mexico still has cities larger than some European cities.

The Aztecs didn't live with all the gold. There strength came from their military strategies and its wealth derived from trade, agriculture, and tribute from their vessel states where the gold actually was--similar to the way Incans had built their empire.

Yes the capital of the Aztecs was wealthier than other city above Panama in the 16th century. But it wasn't the first mega city in the Americas and Caral, Tiwanaku, and other cities were also in their time periods extremely wealthy and just as monumental.

Eurocentric psudoscientists of the 19th Century came out with the Bering Land Bridge Theory, that our people came from Asia. The only reason Eurocentric racists of the 19th Century came out with that Theory, is because they wanted to put our race in the same category as the Mongoloid race. @LuV4RoBnFaB The Olmec heads are just big in scale, the noses, ears, lips, and eyes are big in scale. Other Olmec scultures are small, and they have small noses, ears, lips and eyes. The eyes are so small, they even look chinese. We're not Caucasian, Asian or African.

The nose on that Olmec head is very wide and from what I see many of these people's noses are more Caucasian like, pointy. Strange.

Aztecs did not build the first city. There's no knowing who's city is the oldest in the world. More advanced than European cities? Where's it today? Europe's powerful cities Paris, Berlin, Rome, Athens, Istanbul, Moscow, etc. are still around. FYI, I'm Metis and I love my indigenous heritage, I'm just pointing out facts. Tiwanaku in south america could've rivaled it not in population but in age.

@JanicelVindy - very positive thing to say - I believe that if native americans truly wish to become stronger - then land should be purchased back from the american government - they will never 'give it back' (as they should)- but when you buy it - then once again it will be yours but this time for keeps!

I'm often very impressed as a lot of others with the first nations dress and sense of colour - coupled with the sincerity of the music - it's a strong and proud tradition that should be preserved at all costs lest it dies in a modern world - I like the video
