This is the bottom section of a brand new electrical tower on where somebody wrote, "Destroy Wildlife 4 Cancer?" with an Anarchism symbol. The guy removing the graffiti, a couple days later, told me that this bottom section weighs 41,500 pounds (18.8 metric tons). Also, the outside diameter of the base flange is 99 inches (251 millimetres) and the diameter of the tower's base, itself, is 74 inches (188 millimetres). Once installed, both sections will total 115 feet/35 metres from top to bottom.
This particular power pole is located immediately adjacent the Boulder Creek Trail near 55th and Valmont in Boulder, Colorado. Xcel Energy's Valmont Station 229 megawatt generating plant is only about a mile (1.6 kilometres) away to the east.
Interesting to note that these poles and power lines cross right through a very active prairie dog town adjacent the Boulder Creek trail. Also, at the time I was recording this video a security agent was in the nearby trees monitoring my every move.

No, I did not write it - I regularly ride my bike there along with a few hundred other people...
