Primitive skills expert, kayak builder and paddler Kiliii Yu talks about fishing and coastal foraging while guiding trips around Vancouver Island with his company Sea Wolf Kayak. Kiliii has written about his solo expedition along the Northwest Coast of Vancouver Island in an article titled "31 days of Rice, Butter and Lingcod", published in the December 2010 issue of Sea Kayaker Magazine.

  • Most healthy primitive people got the majority of their food from animals. For example plains natives ate almost exclusively buffalo. When the hunting was good, they ate as much as they could.

    See the paleo diet for a modern approximation of the primitive diet. Its also very healthy. (I like marksdailyapple . com)
