Española Police collected two cell phone videos (spliced together here) of a May 2011 altercation between Española Valley High School science teacher John Reese and student Sonny Romero. Reese was initially charged with assault for punching Romero and breaking his nose. The charges were later dropped, but Reese was fired for his role in the altercation. He is appealing that termination as of August 2011.
