LISA MCLAUGHLIN

Lisa McLaughlin is a singer and songwriter from Castelderg, Co. Tyrone, in the north of Ireland. She started to sing at the age of 9, recording herself on a little red tape-recorder, and started writing songs aged 15. The technology may have changed, but the intimate nature of Lisa's music remains the same. By turns tender and powerful, her performances are never anything less than intense. Whilst living in London, Lisa appeared several times at 'Unplugged' at Soho House, Le Garrick (Covent Garden), and The Electroacoustic Club at The Slaughtered Lamb. A personal highlight was performing for Peter O'Toole at the wrap party for the film Venus. Now back in Ireland, Lisa recently supported The Coronas in Derry, she will be playing the Belfast empire music Hall in October with Luan Parle and Rachell Austin.
