@Shadowboxe FL Studio is recommended if you wanna make beats. If beats is all you wanna make, then get FL without a mixer. If you wanna record vocals i'd recommend you get a mixer and a software like cubase

@JohnF30Music I'm just build my own home studio on a limited budget, thinking of buying fruity loops at a good price. Would you recommend it?
And will I need a separate mixer or is there a digital mixer in the software?
